Lemon Detox Diet: A Recipe For Total Body Health

The Lemon Detox Diet has gained in popularity for several good reasons.

Also known as “Master Cleanse”, the Lemon Detox Diet uses only pure, 100% natural, organic ingredients.  It’s not very expensive either like so many other “miracle” detoxification products on the market these days.  And, because it is a diet, it systemically works its way throughout the entire body.  So rather than focusing on the colon, or the kidneys or the liver, the Lemon Detox Diet focuses on overall, total body health.

The Lemon Detox Diet takes 10 days to complete from start to finish, although in certain circumstances it’s possible to go even longer.  There are 4 primary ingredients which are fresh squeezed lemon juice, water, 100% maple syrup and cayenne pepper.  It’s important not to substitute ingredients as each one provides its own health benefits.

For the 10 day period, no solid food is consumed.  This causes energy normally used for digestion of the solids to be re-distributed and used for detoxification.  These 4 ingredients are readily absorbed into the bloodstream, which dramatically reduces the energy demand for digestion.

For the beginner who has never tried the Lemon Detox Diet, they may wish to try 5-7 days or so.  This shorter time period is also recommended when the dieter is overweight, hypoglycemic, has low blood pressure or just plain “frail” to begin with.  For someone who is experienced with the Lemon Detox Diet or under a physician’s care, they may wish to try it longer than 10 days.  Once the Lemon Detox Diet is complete, even if only for a few days, be sure to introduce solid foods slowly back into the system for the first 4 days.
